I missed my period and now I’m Spottifying.
If I allowed Spotify to share the songs I listened to, you would find that I listen to the songs on the same (approximately 15) albums over and over again. Every year I’ll add a couple more albums. Any songs played not from one of those 15 albums are usually preschool songs.
So at the start of my day I’ll listen to the same song about 15 times. Then I’ll listen to a couple of Belle & Sebastian albums, stop when it gets to the song in Juno, and then play that until I have to turn off the music.
Driving to work I will listen to the radio, usually “Morning Becomes Eclectic,” on KCRW. Then after there’s a prescooler in my car I’ll listen to Ella Jenkins albums, or the They Might Be Giants song, “Robot Parade” about 15 times. I can’t deny the child the right to hear the same song over and over again because that’s what I do.
